A330 System Reset Pro 1.1

This application provides reference procedures for ECAM fault messages or SYS alerts, facilitating search and reset processes within the context of aircraft troubleshooting. It is a stand-alone tool that does not require internet connectivity for operation.

Within the application, users can find configuration details for the aircraft's A/C prior to reset, information on relevant circuit breakers (CB) and push buttons (PB) to be used during reset, estimated time required for the SYS to reset, AMM references for sign-off in the aircraft logbook (ALB/ATL), and MEL references applicable to aircraft dispatch procedures.

Note: The app includes a search feature designed to expedite problem-solving by allowing quick access to specific answers. Use this feature professionally to prevent aircraft delays. The application is intended solely for A330 aircraft and aims to support technical personnel and pilots in diagnosing and resolving system errors. Use with caution, adhering closely to Airbus and operator manuals. MCC support and approval should be sought if necessary.

The ECAM Reset app is a supplementary reference and training aid; it does not replace manufacturer or operator documentation. It should be used cautiously and at the user's own risk. System resets involve turning systems OFF/ON—referred to as "recycling"—to restore normal operation. This process differs from merely re-engaging a tripped circuit breaker, which must follow specific Airbus and operator procedures before closure.

The app is intended for ground use only. If no reset procedure is listed in the System Reset table of the approved FCOM or QRH corresponding to the FAULT or ECAM alert, crews must refrain from attempting a reset. The app must not be used by pilots in flight.

The app references the MMEL; always refer to the approved MEL for aircraft dispatch, noting that some MELs may require maintenance or operational actions prior to dispatch. As MELs vary between operators—such as Turkish Airlines, Air China, Delta Air Lines, Saudia, Cathay Pacific, Brussels Airlines, or Aeroflot—only the approved operator's MEL should be followed. The information provided in this app is strictly for reference and does not replace official documentation.

AMM references included in the app should be used with the most current AMM version related to the aircraft's effective configuration, particularly for sign-off in the Aircraft Logbook.

Attention should be paid to restoring aircraft systems to normal or specific configurations before performing resets—for example, verifying hydraulic power state or switch positions—to ensure procedures are correctly executed.

It is possible that certain CBs listed for resets may not be applicable to every A330 aircraft due to minor system variations. It is recommended to use only those CBs present on the specific aircraft model; others should be disregarded. For example, in CIDS reset procedures, select only relevant CBs based on the aircraft's configuration.

Post-reset, systems may change channels without necessarily indicating fault resolution; some faults may persist silently after apparent correction. For example, resetting the ECAM fault "BRAKES N/WS MINOR FAULT" via A/SKID-NWS switch may cause a channel change (e.g., BSCU channel) without clear fault indication. In such cases, assess whether the aircraft can be dispatched and document any resets performed in the Aircraft Log Book as part of good operational practice.

While this app aids rapid troubleshooting of transient faults or system U/S indications, it does not replace thorough diagnostic procedures. If an underlying system fault persists or indicates genuine malfunction, appropriate maintenance intervention should follow.
